If I have to be cynical, and I do, after all this is my cynical blog! - then it would be hard to compare any two public figures, whatever their background, and come up with a good role model.
The paparazzi and trash article writers have pretty well made it so that any public figure will have any dirt in their lives, both past as well as present, made into a public outrage.

Interesting how we all prefer bad stuff, or at least most of us do. We would not be interested, for instance, if Paris Hilton had made a documentary about starving children, but we are happy to hear the details of her bedtime frolics.

Same with George Bush. He must have done something that wasn't stupid. I can't think of anything, but I suspect that is not because it has not happened, but just because it wasn't good news that would sell newspapers or TV advertising.

So, who could be a good role model for the next generation?
