An Old Guys View On Personal Mobility

It is interesting the way things have gone as far as wheelchairs go, at least during my lifetime. When I was young, if we saw someone in a wheelchair they were normally almost completely incapacitated, maybe suffering from spinal injury, or that kind of problem. Then, a few years ago, we started to see what they call 'scooters' appear. There are a lot of people who use a scooter or scooter type of wheelchair who are not fully incapacitated. We all get to the point where we just need a little help, and the difference to our lives will be massive - I am currently wearing glasses, for instance, yet for most of my life, my eyesight was not just good, but almost spectacular! Anyway, back to scooters. The full name of them is Mobility Scooters and they really can make a big difference. Now, I am in no way saying that I need a vehicle of some kind just to get around the house, or locally in the streets, but my time might well come at some point, and the existence of these scooters will be a great boon to me. It is not the traveling that is the issue here, it is the independence. The same goes for items such as those lift things that take a carriage up the stairs. Whoever thought of those was a genius. So, it might be an injury that has given a person the disadvantage, or just old age creeping on, but the independence is the driving force for living. Electricscooters4less.com are not just about scooters, either - they offer related items as well. Like for instance something we never think of until we get old, and that is the increase in personal risk when entering the bathtub. There are, fortunately, bathtub lifts that an assist in this operation. It is very frustrating if when you get old or injured, you lose your independence, or even part of it, but electricscooters4less.com have some good answers.
